Not all games will be ported and there are many great games exclusive to the Vita. I think it's always worth it to get an older console. Now I pray my wallet can rest till Bustafellows, Olympia Soiree, and Variable Barricade. Thank you everyone for your help! This is an S rank community. LAST UPDATE: Got the pretty blue Vita from Japan and found a sealed Black Buttefly copy as well oh Lord. I suppose I will have to get Black Butterfly (absurdly priced) and Amnesia Memories (digital only) on the eshop. SECOND UPDATE: I have yet to get a Vita but I went ahead and got physical carts for Hakuoki KW and EB, Diabolik, Ashen Hawk, and will be getting both S7carlet and Norn9. All my current switch titles are digital except for the cheap mobile ports. Especially considering they will shut it down eventually. So I guess I would still be able to purchase Diabolik, Hakuoki, and Amnesia digitally but I’m honestly someone who prefers physical. UPDATE: After looking into it further I found a post on this sub stating the Vita store is still open. Should I just, and this is hard for me lol, let it go? Are there a lot of games I’m missing out on that are already localized or are more patches out there? Just wondering if it is worth it to get a Vita at this point to widen my catalogue of translated otoge considering the fact that I will have to hunt for physical copies as well as english patches if they were never officially localized. These of course are going to be pricey to buy physical and it does seem that the future of otoge is on the Switch now. I believe Amnesia is already available for Vita translated with a physical release and so is Hakuoki? The eshop is no longer an option so the physical copy will be absurdly high.
I saw that Diabolik Lovers has an english patch given out to those who have proof of purchase.
I have a Switch Lite with most of the current localized titles available and one that will just be a translation project of mine lol.
